Anything into Oil"Technological savvy could turn 600 million tons of turkey guts and other waste into 4 billion barrels of light Texas crude each year. Gory refuse, from a Butterball Turkey plant in Carthage, Missouri, will no longer go to waste. Each day 200 tons of turkey offal will be carted to the first industrial-scale thermal depolymerization plant, recently completed in an adjacent lot, and be transformed into various useful products, including 600 barrels of light oil. |

A group of Brazilians have come together to create a NGO (non-government organization), to implement ECOVILLAGES and disseminate alternative eco-technologies in support of those who live in isolated mountainous areas. The aim is to put PROJETO AURORA (Dawn Project) into practice. The head-office in the city of Curitiba, State of Paraná, in the south of Brazil, works with three other associated NGOs in three different Brazilian states. In order to gather resources and guarantee future residents for 3 ECOVILLAGES (Porto Celeste, Porto Cristina e Porto Maestro) IPTA has created PROECO Program of Research, Development and Diffusion of Alternative Eco-technologies. PROECO supports micro-enterprises that will be transferred to the Ecovillages or to the Program-Areas later, and also inventions or specific products of interest to the whole Project.
